Franklin Duelers Holds Onto Victory As Paducah Chiefs Almost Erases 5-Run Deficit

Franklin Duelers got out to a five-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for a 5-3 victory over Paducah Chiefs on Thursday. Paducah Chiefs scored three runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Cook in the seventh, a single by Elijah Brooks in the eighth, and a sacrifice fly by Colby Morse in the eighth.

Rice got the win for Franklin Duelers. The fireballer went three innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out three, and walking zero. Ethan Vandament and Isidro Jimenez entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
