Muhlenberg County Stallions Struggles To Find Groove Against Madisonville Miners

Muhlenberg County Stallions struggled to get their offense going on Friday, getting easily dispatched by Madisonville Miners, 12-5.

Muhlenberg County Stallions captured the lead in the first inning. Rudy Tucker singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored two runs for Madisonville Miners, Tyler Froland drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nazhir Bergen drew a walk, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Madisonville Miners came thanks to a walk by Brayden Taylor and a sacrifice fly by Froland.

Reid Gongwer led the Madisonville Miners to victory on the mound. The righthander lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven. Jack Robinson threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Joel Deakins took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Deakins went two innings, allowing eight runs on four hits and striking out two.

Madisonville Miners saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Bergen and Will Vance all collected multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Bergen led Madisonville Miners with three hits in five at bats.
