Henderson Flash's Strong Offense Not Enough To Secure Win Against Muhlenberg County Stallions

Bats were blistered on Friday, but Henderson Flash couldn't quite get the job done against Muhlenberg County Stallions and lost 12-7.

Henderson Flash collected eight hits and Muhlenberg County Stallions had six in the high-scoring affair.

Henderson Flash got on the board in the first inning when Caleb Niehaus's sac fly scored one run for Henderson Flash.

Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with eight runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Kyle Hogwood drew a walk, scoring one run, Ethan Rothschild drew a walk, scoring one run, Justin Massingale singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Tamden Webb-Tate was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Garrett Causey singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Joel Deakins drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brandon Hunsaker induced JT Smallwood to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Noah Waltz earned the victory on the hill for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out two and walking one. Justin Whitman and Vincent Pirozzi entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Owen Payne took the loss for Henderson Flash. Payne went one inning, allowing six runs on two hits and striking out three.

Matthew Ray started the game for Henderson Flash. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out four

Andrew Lee led Henderson Flash with two hits in four at bats. Henderson Flash was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lee made the most plays with 14.

Massingale went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions in hits.
