Henderson Flash Claims Lead In Seventh Inning To Defeat Dubois County Bombers

Henderson Flash snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-4 victory over Dubois County Bombers on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Henderson Flash batting in the bottom of the seventh when Clay Patton singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Dubois County Bombers scored four runs in the third inning, but Henderson Flash still managed to pull out the victory. Dubois County Bombers batters contributing to the big inning included Reece Davis, Kaden Hurless, and Aron Busick, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Henderson Flash opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run for Henderson Flash.

Logan Haslam got the win for Henderson Flash. Haslam went one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero. Sam McFarland, Adam Weihe, and Luke Scales all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Dalton Wasson took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. The pitcher allowed one hit and four runs over one inning, striking out three and walking one.

Kade St. Ledger started the game for Dubois County Bombers. The righthander went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out one and walking zero Will Juday started the game for Henderson Flash. Henderson Flash collected seven hits. Nathan Brewer and Patton each racked up multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Brewer went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits. Henderson Flash tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Brewer led the way with three.

Dubois County Bombers tallied eight hits on the day. Joey Milto, Busick, and Hurless all collected multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Milto led Dubois County Bombers with three hits in five at bats.
