Dubois County Bombers Nabs Win Over Bowling Green Pistons Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Dubois County Bombers weathered a scare by Bowling Green Pistons in the second inning where Dubois County Bombers coughed up three runs, but Dubois County Bombers still won 5-4 on Wednesday. Shannon Martin and Landon Leake all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Bowling Green Pistons got things moving in the second inning. Martin drew a walk, scoring one run.

Dubois County Bombers pulled away for good with five runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Jay Flynn drew a walk, scoring one run, Paul Osting drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored three runs for Dubois County Bombers.

Cole Lambird was the winning pitcher for Dubois County Bombers. The southpaw surrendered zero runs on four hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Colton Okes and Tavien Tigg entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Tigg recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Sawyer Dominick took the loss for Bowling Green Pistons. The hurler surrendered five runs on zero hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
