Dubois County Bombers Can't Catch Up To Paducah Chiefs

Dubois County Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 3-0 loss to Paducah Chiefs on Friday. Paducah Chiefs took the lead on a in the second inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Paducah Chiefs pitchers struck out four, while Dubois County Bombers sat down three.

Paducah Chiefs fired up the offense in the second inning, when Gage Griggs grounded into a double play, but still managed to score one run.

One bright spot for Dubois County Bombers was a single by Paul Osting in the third inning.

Cory Cissell earned the victory on the mound for Paducah Chiefs. The bulldog lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.

Thomas King took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. King allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out two and walking one.

Osting led Dubois County Bombers with one hit in two at bats. Dubois County Bombers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Aron Busick had the most chances in the field with five.

Paducah Chiefs tallied seven hits on the day. Brayman Fraasman and Christian Beal each managed multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Fraasman went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Will Gibbs made the most plays with five.
