Madisonville Miners Can't Catch Up To Muhlenberg County Stallions

Madisonville Miners fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-5 loss to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Tuesday. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored on a sacrifice fly by Brennan Williams in the first inning, a single by Kyle Hogwood in the first inning, and a home run by Noah Phillips in the second inning.

Muhlenberg County Stallions fired up the offense in the first inning, when Williams's sac fly scored one run for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Madisonville Miners tallied three runs in the fifth inning. Nazhir Bergen had an RBI home run in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Muhlenberg County Stallions scored four runs in the ninth inning. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored its runs on a single by Brock Sisson.

Isaac Rose was the winning pitcher for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The lefthander went five innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out seven. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Kail Hill, Joel Deakins, Vincent Pirozzi, and Evan Boyle all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Reid Gongwer took the loss for Madisonville Miners. Gongwer surrendered four runs on six hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Madisonville Miners launched one home run on the day. Bergen had a dinger in the fifth inning.

Madisonville Miners collected seven hits. Connor O'Connell, Jace Parnin, and Dong Joon Shin all had multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Shin, Parnin, and O'Connell each collected two hits to lead Madisonville Miners.

Muhlenberg County Stallions totaled 16 hits. Nikolas Allen, Phillips, Hill, Hogwood, and Teagan Ciocorelli all managed multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Allen went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions in hits.
