Despite allowing four runs in the seventh inning, Dubois County Bombers defeated Madisonville Miners 12-6 on Tuesday. The big inning for Madisonville Miners came thanks to a walk by Jace Parnin, a single by Nazhir Bergen, and a sacrifice fly by Michael Morales.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Dubois County Bombers collected 13 hits and Madisonville Miners had 12.

Dubois County Bombers opened up scoring in the first inning, when Josh Russell doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Dubois County Bombers scored four runs in the eighth inning. The offensive firepower by Dubois County Bombers was led by Paul Osting, Juan Guzman, Aron Busick, and Braxton Templin, who all drove in runs.

Cole Lambird took the win for Dubois County Bombers. Lambird allowed four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking zero. Bobby Fowler and Colton Okes entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Fowler recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Tait Lakin took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The lefty allowed seven hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Dubois County Bombers racked up 13 hits. Busick, Dalton Wasson, Cooper Blythe, Guzman, Russell, and Templin all had multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Templin, Russell, Guzman, Blythe, Wasson, and Busick all had two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Madisonville Miners saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Tyler Froland, Connor O'Connell, Parnin, and Bergen all managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Froland went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits.
