Hoptown Hoppers defeated Bowling Green Pistons 8-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Chase Gruno induced a double-play from Donnell Sandifer to finish off the game.

Hoptown Hoppers was boosted by Robert Estrada who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Estrada singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the sixth, and tripled in the eighth.

Hoptown Hoppers fired up the offense in the first inning. Estrada drove in one when Estrada singled.

Hoptown Hoppers scored three runs in the fourth inning. Hoptown Hoppers scored its runs on an RBI home run by Mac Biggs.

A double by Thomas Barnhart in the first inning was a positive for Bowling Green Pistons.

Brady Ginaven took the win for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty surrendered zero runs on two hits over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking zero. Gruno threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Malcolm Rollon took the loss for Bowling Green Pistons. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one.

Hoptown Hoppers socked one home run on the day. Biggs went for the long ball in the fourth inning.

Hoptown Hoppers totaled 11 hits. Estrada and Artem Logvinov each collected multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Estrada went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits. Chase Cummings led Hoptown Hoppers with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases. Hoptown Hoppers didn't commit a single error in the field. Luis Villalba had 17 chances in the field, the most on the team.
