Louisville Jockeys Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Dubois County Bombers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-6 loss to Louisville Jockeys on Thursday. Louisville Jockeys scored on a single by Cade Moore in the first inning, a single by Jarrett Chapman in the second inning, a single by Austin Taylor in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Moore in the second inning.

Despite the loss, Dubois County Bombers did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Louisville Jockeys had nine hits on the way to victory.

After Louisville Jockeys scored one run in the top of the ninth, Dubois County Bombers answered with one of their own. Louisville Jockeys scored when Jacob Adams singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. Dubois County Bombers then answered when Joey Milto's sac fly scored one run for Dubois County Bombers.

Louisville Jockeys took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Chapman singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Taylor singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Moore's sac fly scored one run for Louisville Jockeys.

Philip Pritchett took the win for Louisville Jockeys. The ace surrendered one run on one hit over two and a third innings, striking out two. Dawson Hope and Jack Mackert entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Mackert recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Louisville Jockeys.

Houston High took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. The pitcher allowed four hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two.

Dubois County Bombers tallied six hits. Carter Whitehead and Gabriel Medina each managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Medina and Whitehead each collected two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Louisville Jockeys racked up nine hits on the day. Jackson Vize and Moore all managed multiple hits for Louisville Jockeys.
