Henderson Flash Come up Short Against Fulton Railroaders

Henderson Flash were the first to get on the board in the second when an error scored one run.

Henderson Flash committed an error, which helped Fulton Railroaders tie the game at one in the top of the fourth.

Fulton Railroaders took the lead in the top of the sixth. Nick Kaelin homered to left field, scoring two runs, to give Fulton Railroaders the lead, 3-1.

Henderson Flash captured the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the seventh after Logan Lacey singled, Edward Uschold walked, Brock Lummus was struck by a pitch, and Ellis Hurt singled, each scoring one run.

Fulton Railroaders flipped the game on its head in the top of the eighth, scoring five runs on five hits to take a 8-5 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Garner Anderson that drove in two.

Drake Defreites earned the win for Fulton Railroaders. The reliever gave up one hit and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking four. Dylan Turner took the loss for Henderson Flash. The reliever went two innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking one. Brady Watts started on the bump for Henderson Flash. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking three. Mitt Landers stepped on the mound first for Fulton Railroaders. They surrendered five hits and three runs (two earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four.

Hurt led Henderson Flash with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 3-for-5 on the day. Uschold led Henderson Flash with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Henderson Flash turned one double play in the game.

Fulton Railroaders tallied nine hits in the game. Diego Duque, Cole Sims, and Mason Cook each collected two hits for Fulton Railroaders. Sims, Kaelin, and Anderson each drove in two runs for Fulton Railroaders. Fulton Railroaders had patience at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Jonathon Walsh and Kanon Lewis led the team with two walks each. Fulton Railroaders turned two double plays in the game.
