Henderson Downs Madisonville 4-0 in Rain-Shortened Game

Henderson Flash opened the scoring in the second after Jayce Upton hit into a double play, but one run scored.

Henderson Flash added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Ellis Hurt grounded out, Madisonville Miners committed an error, and Madisonville Miners committed an error, each scoring one run.

Josh Kuhns stepped on the hill first for Henderson Flash. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking one. Landon Cline started on the bump for Madisonville Miners. The righty surrendered one hit and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking two.

Ian Reagan, Henderson Flash's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Upton, Reagan, and Hurt each drove in one run for Henderson Flash.

Oliver Clark led Madisonville Miners with one hit in two at bats. Madisonville Miners turned one double play in the game.

Henderson Flash will travel to Hoptown Hoppers for their next game on Wednesday night, with the Madisonville Miners make their first visit of the season to Paducah to take on the Chiefs.
