Chiefs Win At Home Over Railroaders
A fielder's choice by Mason Cook put Fulton Railroaders on the board in the top of the second.
Paducah Chiefs jumped into the lead in the bottom of the second when Luke Dymond singled, scoring two runs, Jack McLaury hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Parker Price singled, scoring one run.
Davis Beale earned the win for Paducah Chiefs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking four. Silas Jones took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. They went two innings, surrendering four runs on five hits, striking out none and walking none. Conner Preisel collected the save. Hayden Alexander and Carter Harris each threw shutout innings for Paducah Chiefs in relief.
Dymond, the number nine hitter for Paducah Chiefs, led the way with three runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Price, Brady Grabowski, and David Limbach each collected two hits for Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs turned two double plays in the game.
Charlie Ferbet and Cook each drove in one run for Fulton Railroaders. Cade Spaulding paced Fulton Railroaders with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Fulton Railroaders didn't commit a single error in the field. Andres Aybar had the most chances in the field with 10.
Paducah Chiefs will travel to Henderson Flash for their next game on Thursday, while the Railroaders host the Madisonville Miners in Fulton.
