The game was tied at four in the bottom of the ninth when Braden Pingel singled, scoring one run.

Hoptown Hoppers got on the board in the first inning after Brayden Eftink singled, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners took the lead in the top of the third inning after Nazhir Bergen walked, and Fred Fernandez was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

Hoptown Hoppers tied the game up in the bottom of the fifth thanks to two singles. Hoptown Hoppers tied the game at three on a single by Sam Perkins.

Madisonville Miners took the lead in the top of the seventh. An error scored one run, to give Madisonville Miners the advantage, 4-3.

Hoptown Hoppers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the ninth inning after Gavin Lake doubled, and Pingel singled, each scoring one run.

Holden Groher started on the hill for Madisonville Miners. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and one run over four innings, striking out one and walking five. Easton Barnett started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. They allowed zero hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking six.

Oliver Clark, Mason Pangborn, Preston Bedford, and Bergen each collected one hit for Madisonville Miners. Fernandez and Bergen were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Madisonville Miners. Fernandez led Madisonville Miners with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 12 walks for the game.

Lake, the number seven hitter for Hoptown Hoppers, led the way with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-5 on the day. John Kiebler and Lake each collected two hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Perkins led Hoptown Hoppers with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Hoptown Hoppers turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Madisonville Miners is a game against Henderson Flash on Thursday, and Hoptown finishes a suspended game against Paducah and then plays a seven-inning game against the Chiefs.
