Both teams were strong on the bump on Thursday, but Madisonville Miners was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over Henderson Flash. Liam Samuels started the game for Henderson Flash and recorded seven outs.

Henderson Flash got on the board in the third inning after Logan Lacey homered to center field, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a sacrifice fly by Oliver Clark, and a walk by Payton Stephenson.

Tre Rex pitched five and one-third innings in relief for Henderson Flash. The left-handed pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs while, striking out five and walking four. Samuels started the game for Henderson Flash. They gave up two hits and two runs over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two. Christian Howe opened the game for Madisonville Miners. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none.

Lacey provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Henderson Flash with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Henderson Flash stole four bases in the game. Henderson Flash were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Ian Reagan had the most chances in the field with 10.

Gabriel Eddington and Preston Bedford each collected two hits for Madisonville Miners. Clark led Madisonville Miners with one run batted in.  Brayden Taylor led Madisonville Miners with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game.

Next up for Henderson Flash is a game at Hoptown Hoppers on Saturday, while the Miners travel to Paducah on Friday night to play the Chiefs.
