Henderson Flash Survive Paducah Chiefs 9-7
Henderson Flash got out to a 7-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 9-7 victory over Paducah Chiefs on Friday. Paducah Chiefs closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a double, a single, a single, and an error.
A single by Tyson LeBlanc put Henderson Flash on the board in the top of the first.
Henderson Flash added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Nate York doubled, and Paducah Chiefs committed an error, each scoring one run.
Dylan Turner led things off on the bump for Henderson Flash. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Jaythan Wilson stepped on the bump first for Paducah Chiefs. They gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking two. LeBlanc provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Henderson Flash with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Crawford Courville and York each collected two hits for Henderson Flash. Dane DeWees paced Henderson Flash with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. DeWees and Taylor Head each stole multiple bases for Henderson Flash. Henderson Flash stole seven bases in the game.
Paducah Chiefs amassed 11 hits in the game. Ben Brombaugh led Paducah Chiefs with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. They went 2-for-4 on the day. Brady Grabowski led Paducah Chiefs with three hits in six at bats. Ayden Terry and Kyle Hayes each collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs stole four bases in the game.
