Big Sixth Inning Leads Fulton Railroaders Past Henderson Flash
Fulton Railroaders defeated Henderson Flash 6-0 on Thursday thanks in part to four runs in the sixth inning. Garner Anderson doubled, scoring one run, Jake Vitale doubled, scoring two runs, and Charlie Ferbet singled, scoring one run.
Fulton Railroaders got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Alejandro Quiles grounded out, and Vitale singled, each scoring one run.
Diego Duque earned the win for Fulton Railroaders. They gave up seven hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Seth Galloway took the loss for Henderson Flash. The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out none and walking two. Dylan Turner stepped on the bump first for Henderson Flash. The righty allowed six hits and two runs over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two.
Fulton Railroaders amassed 10 hits in the game. Vitale went 2-for-4 at the plate as the left-handed hitter led the team with three runs batted in. Cole Sims went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits. Anderson and Ferbet each collected multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Fulton Railroaders turned two double plays in the game.
Dane DeWees and Ellis Hurt each collected three hits for Henderson Flash. Henderson Flash turned one double play in the game. Henderson Flash didn't commit a single error in the field. Ian Reagan had the most chances in the field with five.
