Hoptown Hoppers lost to Madisonville Miners 5-2 on Tuesday.

Madisonville Miners got on the board in the top of the third inning after Kaden Ray singled, and Payton Stephenson grounded out, each scoring one run.

Dalton Sisson stepped on the bump first for Hoptown Hoppers. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking three. Jace Parnin stepped on the hill first for Madisonville Miners. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and one run over eight innings, striking out four and walking four.

Gavin Lake and Hadley Smith each collected one hit for Hoptown Hoppers. Smith and Kolby Webb each drove in one run for Hoptown Hoppers. Braden Pingel paced Hoptown Hoppers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Lake stole two bases. Hoptown Hoppers turned one double play in the game.

Brady Cooper, Ray, and Stephenson each drove in one run for Madisonville Miners. Ray led Madisonville Miners with three hits in four at bats. Madisonville Miners turned one double play in the game.
