Fulton Railroaders Beat Hoptown Hoppers 6-1

Fulton Railroaders jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after one run scored on a dropped third strike, and Cole Sims homered to center field, scoring three runs.

Kanon Lewis earned the win for Fulton Railroaders. They allowed two hits and zero runs over six and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four. Gavin Lake took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. They went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs on four hits, striking out four and walking four. Silas Jones started on the hill for Fulton Railroaders. They allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking two.

Garner Anderson led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in five at bats from the leadoff position. Sims went 1-for-4 at the plate as the outfielder led the team with three runs batted in. Drake DeFreitas paced Fulton Railroaders with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Anderson stole two bases. Fulton Railroaders stole four bases in the game. Fulton Railroaders turned one double play in the game.

Max Martin led Hoptown Hoppers with one run batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Grant Snider paced Hoptown Hoppers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Hoptown Hoppers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Evan Cardwell made the most plays with six.
