Fulton Railroaders Claims Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Hoptown Hoppers
Fulton Railroaders defeated Hoptown Hoppers 9-6 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six with Fulton Railroaders batting in the bottom of the eighth when Ryan Lee homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.
Parker Estes collected four hits in five at-bats to help lead Fulton Railroaders to victory. Estes singled in the first, doubled in the third, homered in the fifth, and singled in the eighth.
Fulton Railroaders got on the board in the first inning. Brady Holloway drove in one when Holloway singled.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Fulton Railroaders tied things up at six. Estes hit a solo homer.
CJ Lofton pitched Fulton Railroaders to victory. The pitcher lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out six. Brandon Jernigan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jernigan recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.
