Muhlenberg County Stallions watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 18-2 loss to Owensboro RiverDawgs on Friday. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored on a single by EJ Clark in the first inning, a single by Cam Nichols in the second inning, a single by Daalen Adderly in the second inning, and an error in the second inning.

The Muhlenberg County Stallions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Owensboro RiverDawgs, giving up 18 runs.

Owensboro RiverDawgs got on the board in the first inning when Clark singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs scored eight runs in the sixth inning. Owensboro RiverDawgs's big inning was driven by doubles by Tyler McClure and Nichols, a single by Dylan Abbott, a home run by Adderly, and a groundout by Adderly.

Dereck McCarly pitched Owensboro RiverDawgs to victory. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out nine.

Nate McKissick took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher went one inning, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Jaccar Watkins, Kevin Sosa, Sam Pinckert, and Garrett Dennis each managed one hit to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied 19 hits on the day. Nichols, Adderly, McClure, Clark, and Noah Gilbert each had multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Nichols led Owensboro RiverDawgs with five hits in five at-bats.\
