Louisville Jockeys Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Owensboro RiverDawgs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 7-6 loss to Louisville Jockeys on Sunday. Louisville Jockeys scored on a double by Jaret Humphrey in the first inning, a single by Max Samson in the first inning, and a single by RJ Latkowski in the second inning.

Owensboro RiverDawgs collected ten hits and Louisville Jockeys had ten in the high-scoring affair.

Louisville Jockeys got things started in the first inning. Humphrey doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Steven Thom was the winning pitcher for Louisville Jockeys. The lefty allowed two hits and zero runs over three and a third innings, striking out three. Cody Morton and Bobby Fowler entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Morton recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Louisville Jockeys.

Preston Cottrell took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Cottrell went five innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out eight.

Cody Medley started the game for Louisville Jockeys. Medley surrendered three runs on four hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied ten hits on the day. Luke Evans, Cam Nichols, and Johnathon Lawson each managed multiple hits for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Evans led Owensboro RiverDawgs with three hits in five at-bats.

Louisville Jockeys scattered ten hits in the game. Carson Boles, Samson, and Latkowski each had multiple hits for Louisville Jockeys. Louisville Jockeys was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. David Byrne made the most plays with six.
